Wetplate collodion is an early 19th century photographic process that is technically challenging at all levels. It is messy, noxious, hard to control and somewhat dangerous, as the component chemistry is potentially flammable. And that’s just part of what makes it so rewarding. The resultant images are ethereal, elusive and captivating in a way that no other photographic process can capture. The images as represented on a computer screen or in print are merely indications of the plate in its original form.

The collection is varied in availability and represented state;

Some of the originals in 8x10 or composite 8X10 formats are available on glass or aluminum, some framed in black walnut

Others are only available as prints in various sizes
